German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency awards multi-year wind-farm site survey contract.
Dutch surveyor, Fugro, has been awarded a multi-year site investigation contract by the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency for offshore wind-farm sites in the German North Sea.
The company will provide geotechnical data-acquisition from multiple drilling and seabed testing vessels, as well as lab testing and reporting by its German and UK labs.
Fugro is currently gearing up for the first phase of the contract, with a start date at the end of this month. The results of the contract will be used by future wind farm developers in preparing their bids.
