Stena Line Announces Tax-Free Shopping After Brexit.
The consequences of Brexit will be many, but one of the more welcome results will be the resumption of tax-free shopping between Britain and the EU.
Stena Line announced today that it will be investing in its onboard shopping facilities between Rosslare and Fishguard, in preparation for the green light announced by the British and Irish governments.
Other routes will also see a greater emphasis on onboard shopping, although many of Stena’s ships already have extensive retail space.
Another consequence of Brexit will be increased traffic between Ireland and France. Here again, Stena sees room for expansion and predicts that the company will increase capacity by 20 percent.
