Hired Guns Manage to See Off Sustained Attack Using Assault Rifles and Heavy Machine Gun
Alarming video footage shows armed guards successfully repulsing an attack from bridge of the Russian-crewed ship. The clip circulated by FleetMon shows a fast launch approaching the ship’s starboard beam.
The crew shows remarkable composure as the guards engage the marauders and the Master of the vessel can be seen making an announcement for all crew to stay away from the starboard side.
The footage shows guards using the structure of the bridge as cover and a machine-gun crew also engaged the pirates from below the funnel.
Bullet damage was later found and the crew on the bridge report seeing a pirate hit in the firefight.
