Seaspan Corporation is continuing its newbuilding spree with an order for six 15,000 TEU containerships.
Atlas Corp-owned, Seaspan Corporation is continuing to expand and has ordered six new 15.000 TEU containerships, the company said in a press release. Seaspan has now announced a total of 31 newbuild orders.
The new vessels are expected to be financed from existing liquidity and some additional borrowing. The company said the latest builds would be entered into with a major shipyard and are anticipated to enter service in 2023.

As of September last year, the company’s fleet consisted of 127 vessels and approximately 1,073,000 TEU.
